Area 33 Special Needs Committee

While there are no special A.A. members there are many members who have a special need. If you are willing to help carry the AA message to members with a special need, please email the Special Needs Committee: area33specialneedschair@aa-semi.org

The Area 33 Special Needs Committee Meeting is at noon on the second Saturday of every month at Area 33 Office. Email the Committee for more information.

If you are looking for help from the Area 33 Special Needs Committee, please email us at: area33specialneedschair@aa-semi.org

Do you have AA CD's, Tapes, Books, etc. you're not using? If so, there are other's that could use them. Find out how to donate them to a fellow alcoholic. How can I donate my used media?

Please see below for the Special Need communities that the committee is currently attempting to reach:

Deaf / Hard of Hearing Alcoholics

The Special Needs Committee is actively collecting names of AA members that are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, members that can speak in sign language or members that are willing to take Deaf/Hard of Hearing alcoholics to meetings that serve Deaf/Hard of Hearing alcoholics.

The Committee is also actively keeping track of meetings that serve alcoholics that are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Also, please let us know of your specific special needs and we will try to find a way to accommodate them.

Selected literature such as the Big Book and the Twelve and Twelve are now available in Braille and are also available on audio cassette and VHS format in American Sign Language. Ask us about AA films and videos which are now also available in American Sign Language.
