Primero deseo agradecer cada uno por la gran ayuda I?ve que recibe. Si cualquier grupo o districto quisiera que saliera para una introducción minuciosa cinco de me me placería hacerla. Los días de Forty-five en esta herencia y 14 grupos han pedido invitado me a sus reuniones.

El comité también recibió una petición de volver un pago compensado del coste del transporte $100.000 a Minneapolis y tomó la acción siguiente. La pérdida de Grapevine?s en operaciones es $5.780, por el año terminó 12/31/00. Esta pérdida es $61.363 mejor que presupuestado y $16.111 menos que la pérdida real en 1999. The Board determined that a fourth item, concerning the Grapevine website?s bulletin board activity should be forwarded to the Conference Committee.
Cynthia Keyworth discussed the proposed special item for 2001, an anthology of letters published in the magazine. There was a discussion about the book?s publication schedule, so that its production and its marketing would not conflict with that of other GV items.

The proposed draft of the Archives Workbook was reviewed by the committee. Suggestions included the need to emphasize that the workbook contents are based on shared archival experience, as well as emphasizing the need for rotation at the archives committees. A new section informing our members about the many ways to get involved in archival service will be added.

· Request from an area asking that the Conference as a whole discuss the matter of ?overseas litigation?.
It was moved and seconded that a request asking the Conference as a whole to discuss the matter of ?overseas litigation? be denied at this time. A report from the chairman of the General Service Board will be distributed at the 51 st General Service Conference.
· Request from an Area to consider, ?Regarding the presence of Alcoholics Anonymous on the Internet, it is proposed that both the AAWS, inc, and the Grapevine, Inc refrain from sponsoring or hosting online meetings. This includes meetings of any format, including but not limited to real-time meetings, e-mail meetings bulletin boards and forums.
· Request asking that a committee and chair concerning Special Needs/Accessibilities of the General Service Board be created and that this is considered during the 51 st General Service Conference.
Reviewed an evaluation report of the 34 exhibits covered in 2000 and accepted the Exhibit list for 2001.
Currently there are 18 men waiting to be linked with outside AA members. There are approximately 130 requests every week.
Discussed a report on ?Bridging the Gap Workshop Weekend. Communication is essential between Correctional committees (i.e. district, Intergroup, hospital and institutions and Bridging the Gap) in an Area, as well as other Areas.
The committee suggested that the staff secretary attend a future Bridging the Gap Workshop Weekend to obtain additional shared experience.
17 th World Service Meeting in 2002 will be held in Spain and the theme will be ?The AA Message-A Message Without Borders?
Southeast Regional Forum had over 360 people in attendance.
Special Forum, January 6-7, 2001, drew over 450 people. Many people that attended were at their first AA service event as well as their first Forum.
The Committee recommends that a ?Hispanic? Special Forum take place in Austin Texas December 8-9, 2001.
Very preliminary work has begun on the 70 th International Convention, June 30-July 2, 2005. Matters related to housing, transportation, registration and Border Crossings were touched upon.
The committee discussed the bids from seven cities for the 2010 International Convention. These seven met the minimum criteria, the Delegate from that city will be asked to give a two minute presentation Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 9:00am. The seven Cities are: Atlanta, Denver, Honolulu, Indianapolis, Phoenix, San Antonio and Detroit.
The Chairman noted they had a full schedule and a challenging agenda.
· Fourth Edition Big Book
A request from the 4 th Edition Big Book Subcommittee that the Publications Department be responsible for the order of the presentation of stories in the 4 th Edition, following page 164 and ?Doctor Bob?s Nightmare?
The committee agreed to forward a request from the subcommittee to GSO to contact all current and past Literature Committee members after the 2001 General Service Conference to request that in material in their possession pertaining to the 4 th Edition be returned to GSO. The Draft manuscripts of the 1,222 stories originally submitted for consideration have been held in Trust by all involved. This is a customary request to protect confidentiality.
· Pamphlet for Black/African American Alcoholic
o The committee agreed to forward the draft pamphlet as presented with one revision, deletion of the section titled ?you?re needed here? in the proposed introduction.
o This draft manuscript will be forwarded to the Conference Literature Committee on a ?for their-eyes-only? basis adhering to the principal of the ?right of decision,? and not brought forward for any other general distribution until publication.
o Three letters expressing opposition to this pamphlet received before 1/15/2001 will be forwarded to the committee.
· Pamphlet for Older Alcoholics
· The Committee agreed to forward the draft manuscript with one minor revision to the introduction.
· This draft will be forwarded will be forwarded to the Literature Committee on a ?for their-eyes-only? and not brought forward for any other distribution until publication.
· The Committee agreed to forward a request from the publications department that the pamphlet for older alcoholics to replace ?Time to Start Living? be published in 14 point type large print format only.
· Proposed ?Spirituality Variety? Pamphlet
Discussion was held on the purpose of such a pamphlet, suggested title options and format. The committee will forward the report and two letters in opposition to this pamphlet received before 1/15/2001.
· Addition of Web Site Address to the Big Book
Committee agreed to forward the request to add GSO?s AA Web Site address to the section ?How to get in touch with AA? to future printings of the Big Book to the Conference Literature Committee.
· Literature Workbook/Kit
The Committee table discussion of an area request for a Literature Workbook Kit to the July Meeting.

· Committee reaffirmed statement ?No information should be provided regarding any other AA members, past or present, under any circumstances.
· Forwarded suggestion that a new television P.S.A. (approximate cost $30,000) be produced.
